Ingredients
  • 225 g chicken breast
  • 1/2 cup White Rice uncooked
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 cube Chicken Broth
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp CornStarch
  • 2 pcs. Ginger
  • 2 pcs. Green Onions thinly sliced

  • 225 g chicken breast
  • 1/2 cup White Rice uncooked
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 cube Chicken Broth
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp CornStarch
  • 2 pcs. Ginger
  • 2 pcs. Green Onions thinly sliced
Instructions
  1. Add the chicken, Shaoxing wine, salt and cornstarch in a medium-sized bowl. Mix well until the chicken is evenly coated. Set aside to marinate.
  2. In your Instant Pot, combine the rice, Shaoxing wine, and ginger.
  3. Add 1L of water and place the chicken cube.
  4. Set the Instant Pot to cook at high pressure for 15 minutes.
  5. Once cooking is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for at least 10 minutes. Afterward, carefully release any remaining pressure quickly.
  6. Add the marinated chicken, green onion, and chicken broth to the cooked congee in the Instant Pot.
  7. Set the saute function on the Instant Pot.
  8. Stir constantly to separate the chicken pieces and cook until the chicken just turns white.
  9. Stir in the sesame oil to blend it well with the congee and chicken.
  10. Serve the congee hot.
